In Haiti, when you want to get somewhere you get a Tap-Tap: a public collective taxi. When you want the driver to stop where you want you bang two times on the car’s structure; the sound makes : Tap-Tap!! This how we name this kind of public transportation. The taxis are usually pick-ups on which a structure is mounted ; it is privately owned. The structure and the car are usually carefully decorated and have general sayings, words of prayers or expressions written- with paint on them. Its a form of art, moving art depicting haitians ‘s wide range of cultural traits.
